Valerie is a 42-year-old, single, Reformed Christian lady who lives in Baltimore. She doesn't remember a time
before she knew and loved Jesus, but she does remember accepting John Calvin into her heart in March of 2000.
Valerie is a member of Christ Reformed Evangelical Church in Annapolis.
Though her career aspiration is to be a housewife, Valerie has not yet found anyone suitable who wishes to hire
her for employment in that field (or, more properly, anyone suitable has not found her), so in the meantime she
earns her daily bread working in communications -- editing, writing, print design and website management.

On July 23, 2007 5:53 PMThe Danewrote... I liked the wind one. I saw it on Joe Carter's site a couple weeks back as part of the Foreign Commercials Edition of his Outtakes video round-up. The German Coast Guard one and the Perfect Husband one were particularly delicious as well.

In case anyone's wonder why the wind one made me cry, it's a John 3:8 thing. Here's part of what I wrote at Blog & Mablog:
"...had me weeping all afternoon yesterday. I'd been struggling all week with being irritated at every adverse circumstance (horrors along the catastrophic magnitude of uncooperative software, ye ken). Since I'm a good little Calvinist, I'd gone straight to the Source and just been angry with God about my circumstances -- I wish He'd just behave Himself and quit bringing all of these inconveniences and annoyances into my life! Of course this is a stupid, dangerous, blasphemous and very unCalvinistic attitude....
"Of course along with the annoyances, He blew in with half a dozen circumstances, blog posts, conversations and Scriptures I could name, and culminating with a commercial, of all things, to finally grant the relief of repentance. Truly He is all kindness to His children, and does not treat us as our sins deserve. Now if only I can quickly remember that the next time something doesn't go my way!"
