Valerie is a 42-year-old, single, Reformed Christian lady who lives in Baltimore. She doesn't remember a time
before she knew and loved Jesus, but she does remember accepting John Calvin into her heart in March of 2000.
Valerie is a member of Christ Reformed Evangelical Church in Annapolis.
Though her career aspiration is to be a housewife, Valerie has not yet found anyone suitable who wishes to hire
her for employment in that field (or, more properly, anyone suitable has not found her), so in the meantime she
earns her daily bread working in communications -- editing, writing, print design and website management.
You Might Be Getting Old If...
...technology is so overwhelming you want to curl up in a ball and cry.
I need to get a cell phone. The possibilities are endless. If they weren't, it wouldn't be so overwhelming. Six bazillion plans to choose from. Nine bazillion phones to choose from. Forty-three bazillion options and features and small-print considerations to wade through. *whimper*

That will give you time to figure out the world of cell phones, and then it's a cinch to change when you are ready. First you have to get used to the way the phone itself works. Then you tackle the company plans. Now, now. There. Take a leetle sip of this brandy. ~Eleanor

If you plan to talk a lot, you might want something else, but start with a prepaid phone and see how it works for you.

On September 17, 2007 11:53 AMAbrawrote... I hate cell phones. They are so confusing! If Ben didn't require I have one, I wouldn't. I like the good old fashioned land lines. Sorry, I have no advice -- simply empathy.

It is 10 cents a minute and you just have to add more air time before your service runs out. $30 = 300 minutes with 60 days of service. I only use it when running errands out of the house, so I don't really need anything else and don't have to choose any plans.
