Valerie is a 42-year-old, single, Reformed Christian lady who lives in Baltimore. She doesn't remember a time
before she knew and loved Jesus, but she does remember accepting John Calvin into her heart in March of 2000.
Valerie is a member of Christ Reformed Evangelical Church in Annapolis.
Though her career aspiration is to be a housewife, Valerie has not yet found anyone suitable who wishes to hire
her for employment in that field (or, more properly, anyone suitable has not found her), so in the meantime she
earns her daily bread working in communications -- editing, writing, print design and website management.
Damned If You Do, Damned If You Don't
Could this post be any clearer in saying so? Pastor Wilkins and AAPC "bolted" from the PCA, but Duane Garner wants to stay, and the writer "can't imagine why he wouldn't flee." I, too, am surprised that Duane wants to stay, but bully for him, sez I.

On February 11, 2008 10:39 PMAngiewrote... Actually, on Sunday the Garners joined the "all new" AAPC, making them fellow CREC'ers.

But does that necessarily mean Duane dropped the attempt to stay in LaP? I think he can theoretically do both. Glen remained a member of the the EPC presbytery when he joined our congregation (since the CREC doesn't do that presbytery membership thing).
On February 12, 2008 7:56 AMAngiewrote... Okay, so members of our particular church (Christ Reformed Evangelical Church, for those of you in the listening audience) would be CRECers and members of our denomination (the Confederation of Reformed Evangelical Churches) would be CRECians? Sounds good to me.

I believe that is correct.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the position "Why don't they do the logical, sensible, manly thing and just leave for the peace of the church so we can call them cowards for running away" was a little odd. Agree or disagree with the FV's views, I think you have to pick between "Good riddance!" OR "Now we can go our separate ways in peace" OR "It is a shame that we could not work this out" OR "Cowards!" Any combination of those doesn't reflect any sensible principle behind your attitude.
